Itinerant Workshop of Photography and Sound Recording
An innovative journey that intertwines sound and image, nature and memory, technique and perception.
“The Sensory Walk” is an experiential workshop that combines field recording and photography through hands-on outdoor activities: sound and photographic walks in natural and historic settings such as forests, coastlines, riversides, villages, and ancient architecture.
The course is designed for those who wish to slow down, listen, and observe.
During each outing, participants will learn the basics of environmental recording and documentary photography, capturing soundscapes and evocative visual glimpses, with particular attention to mindful smartphone use, making the most of natural light and composition.
Photography is more than just taking a picture: it is storytelling, emotion, and memory. With simple technical tips and a touch of creativity, even a modest image can become a small masterpiece.
What We Will Do
Explore practical techniques for photography and video in natural and urban environments.
Learn to record authentic sounds using microphones and portable devices.
Immediately apply what is learned during guided walks and explorations.
Cover the basics of photo editing to enhance natural colors and contrasts.
Work on telling a story through sight and listening.
Final Exhibition
The workshop will conclude with a collective exhibition, where each participant will present their own audio-visual project, merging images, video, and sounds into a single sensory and poetic narrative.
Each photograph will be accompanied by its ambient soundtrack, giving voice to the places explored.
